In partnership with AVPN, ETI has been driving multi-stakeholder dialogue and action on strengthening dengue response in India. Through convenings in Chennai and Bengaluru, we brought together government representatives, technical experts, CSR leaders, and community voices—including ASHAs, persons with disabilities, and gender and sexual minority groups. These dialogues identified priority areas in prevention, timely management, diagnostics, and financing, while also laying the foundation for the EquiHealth Alliance—a coalition rooted in inclusivity and frontline realities. By mobilizing philanthropic capital, CSR, and public schemes, we are working towards sustainable financing frameworks that support preventive infrastructure, innovation pilots, and standardized treatment approaches.
Building on these state-level insights, ETI showcased learnings at the World Health Summit Regional Meeting in April 2025, launching the EquiHealth Alliance nationally and releasing the outcomes paper “Advancing Access and Strengthening Dengue Response: Lessons from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.”
On World Environment Day 2025, we further connected health and climate action, convening diverse stakeholders to align strategies for dengue prevention within broader environmental and urban planning frameworks. These milestones mark the beginning of a collective effort to strengthen India’s dengue response through collaboration, evidence, and community-centered solutions.
