SPOTLIGHTING STORIES OF WOMEN LEADERSHIP IN HEALTH

Donor: WomenLift Health

ETI is supporting WomenLift Health’s India to spotlight the stories of women leadership, especially in the health sector in India.

Despite women making at least 75 percent of the global workforce, as we go up the ladder, the women start to dissapear.

ETI is supporting WomenLift Health India to spotlight the stories of women leadership, especially in the health sector in the country. The aim is to highlight the disparity in terms of opportunities provided to women and the factors that affect the same at the economic, structural, and social level. The project also hopes to create a dialogue where gender comes into question – bringing in aspects of other social identities (intersectionality) and talk about diversity in leadership for all. While the key stakeholder are women working in the healthcare sector, it also aims to involve men in similar discussions to counter their biases and encourage holistic change.

The project has successfully engaged with various stakeholders like media, government organisations, technical experts. Some stakeholder include Dr Zoya Ali Rizvi, Deputy Commissioner of Adolescent Health, National Health Mission, Ministry of Science and Technology; Dr Samukeliso Dube, Executive Director, FP2030, Dr N.K. Arora, Executive Director, The Inclen Trust International and Chairman, National Technical Advisory Group on Immunization, Dr Renu Swarup, Former Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, and media publications like The Hindustan Times, The Hindu, and Punjab Kesari
